So when you are using a terminal emulator protocol script, you are essentially typing to a CLI. The CLI replies to your message. So, for example, if you type "dir" and expect a reply with a directory structure but none such returns then you are waiting until it times out. Maybe you are waiting for a condition that never happens. Maybe you are waiting for the wrong response. There is insufficient data here to draw any conclusion.
