Hello, I have to script a Java applet that has arcot login.while my previous experience with arcot application is that Truclient IE protocol supports it.now I have Java applet after the login, I am not sure which protocol should be used.any suggestions for this will be really helpful. Thanks
 
Try using java over http protocol for applet based applications
 
Using Java over http is not handling the arcot login..
 
So what was the exact issue ? Is the browser crashes? Events not recording ? What is the version of LR and What browser with version ? can you share more details ?
 
LR ver 12.02,IE 10 32 bit...we have tried scripting with web http protocol earlier with other applications(non Java ones) and we could not get to the main home page with that protocol...further investigation lead to the conclusion that only Truclient will support arcot login...so i am assuming that Java over http mite not work...
 
What was happening exactly when you try to record the login .. Have you tried downgrading your browser to IE 8 or IE 9 and tried that ?
 
Truclient is not preferred in case if you go for more no of users as it will eat more memory
 
Yes we tried with lower versions of IE as well,during replay we just could not get to the home page,soon after entering the password and submit we would get a blank page and not the expected home page..it was mainly due to some security patches that prevented the login
 
So I tried with Java http , how do v correlate? I don even see the option of auto correlation...I am not an expert in load runner...so find it difficult using new protocol
 
During replay ? ? How it was replayed without recording ?
 
Recording was successful ,we had issues in replay.sorry my bad for confusion..
 
Pls do not treat java over http as simpler like other . it requires core java knowledge to proceed . I think you have to get some hands on before you jump in
 
Can you share the message from the replay log where you encountered the error .
 
U need the log with Java over http one or with web http protocol??

I get application time out as soon as I enter the user is and hit submit button..it is not letting me go to the password screen..
 
I have the log but it's really long...how do u want me to send it??
